After more than 80 years of development, IMTS has become the largest and longest-running international trade show in the US manufacturing sector. It is among the world's renowned exhibitions, a globally recognized ideal platform for showcasing and selling advanced manufacturing technologies and equipment, serving as a barometer for the development of the global machinery manufacturing industry and holding a significant leadership position in the global metalworking and machinery manufacturing fields.
The 31st International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS 2016) was held from September 12 to 17, 2016, at McCormick Place in Chicago. This exhibition was a truly global gathering of the manufacturing technology industry, with a net exhibition area of 1,370,256 square feet (approximately 119,102 square meters). 2,407 internationally renowned manufacturing companies from more than 40 countries and regions showcased the most advanced machinery manufacturing technologies and equipment, the highest number of exhibitors in the history of the show. The six-day exhibition attracted 115,612 visitors from 112 countries and regions, a 1.28% increase compared to the 2014 edition.
